The 2019 Silverado 1500 design comes with more cargo room than ever before thanks to the especially large bed. The Silverado has the most functional bed of any truck on the market, offering lots of space and several features to improve versatility. If you’re looking for a truly capable truck, check out the new Silverado 1500.
According to Chevrolet, the 2019 Silverado has up to 89 cu ft of space with the Long Box configuration, which is 14 cu ft more than the 2018 model year. The Short Box and Standard Box configurations are also considerably larger, allowing you to store a wider range of cargo. Plus, the high-strength steel design can withstand 500 MPa, which is significantly more than trucks like the F-Series or Ram 1500.
“The bed is the heart and soul of any pickup, so we made several improvements to the bed of the all-new Silverado to give our customers an even better hauling experience,” said Tim Herrick, executive chief engineer, Full-Size Trucks, General Motors. “We’ve added so many features and benefits that it deserves its own name – Durabed.”
In addition to more space, the Silverado 1500 has added features like 12 fixed tie-downs that can hold 500 pounds of pressure before bending. Available in-bed LED lighting provides visibility so you can work at night, and an optional 110/120-volt outlet provides a convenient power source.
