The 2020 Chevrolet Equinox is an excellent choice for families wanting a peppy vehicle for their daily drives. The SUV has a number of advanced technologies, including safety systems, which helped it earn its recognition as a 2019 Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.
To achieve this prestigious status, a vehicle has to perform well in different IIHS tests. The IIHS gave the Equinox a superior rating for its vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention system, as well as an advanced rating for its pedestrian front crash prevention. In each of the crashworthiness tests, the SUV also received a good rating.
For 2020, the Equinox comes standard with Automatic Emergency Braking, the Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, the Rear Vision Camera, IntelliBeam headlamps and Front Pedestrian Braking.
For added security, you can also opt for available safety features in the Equinox, such as Adaptive Cruise Control – Camera, Rear Park Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert.
Along with its impressive safety equipment, the Equinox gives you the option of a 1.5-liter Turbo engine and a 2.0-liter Turbo engine to power the SUV and handle the road. The more powerful 2.0-liter Turbo engine lets you tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.
The 2020 Chevrolet Equinox has all you need to have peace of mind on drives. Check out its other features when you take a test drive at H&H Chevrolet.
Halloween is beloved by children greatly because of trick-or-treating. However, this also means that there are lots of children roaming the streets come Halloween night. As such, it’s important to practice safe driving on Halloween to keep you and trick-or-treaters safe.
Turn On Your Headlights
Even if it is still light outside, be sure to turn on your
headlights. This will make it easier for you to see children and for them to
Put Away Any Distractions
A distracted driver is a dangerous driver, so make sure you
put your phone away. You might even consider turning off the radio so you can
pay even more attention to your surroundings. This will also help you hear
what’s going on around your vehicle.
You should always follow the speed limit. However, on
Halloween night, you should drive even slower. Driving slowly will help you stop
faster if any excited kids dart out into traffic.
Yield To Pedestrians
If you are at a street corner or crosswalk, wait for
pedestrians to cross the street. Then, carefully scan the road before
continuing to drive.
We at H&H Chevrolet hope you and your children have a fun and spooky Halloween. Stop by our service department for repairs and routine maintenance before driving on Halloween.

Now that the holiday season is officially here, you probably have a lot of parties and family gatherings in your future. This usually means there will be food involved and you have to get that food from your house to the host. Here are a few tips on how to transport food in your car without spilling it.
For hot dishes, like casseroles, you will need a large cardboard box or laundry basket and a handful of towels. Fold up a towel and place it at the bottom of the box. Then, place the casserole dish on top of it. Roll up the remaining towels and place them snuggly around the dish. To keep the box from sliding around, put a rubberized mat underneath.
One of the easiest ways to transport a single pie is by placing an empty pie plate over top of the pie then sealing the edges together with aluminum foil. If you have more than one pie, place them next to each other on a baking sheet and wrap foil around both the pies and the baking sheet. Place the pies on a grippy surface in your trunk.
If you are bringing along small hors d’oeuvres or cookies and don’t want them to get squished together on a plate, place a kitchen towel on a baking sheet and then lay out your items on the towel. Wrap the entire baking sheet in plastic wrap.
