Last week was a big one for the Chevrolet Silverado. On Tuesday Chevy announced that the 2020 Silverado HD would debut in February of 2019, and just two days later it showed off the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD High Country, one of five distinct models.
Silverado HD Redesign
With the redesign of the 2020 Silverado HD, Chevy has worked to make the HD models stand apart from the light-duty Silverado 1500, since they’re made for different drivers with different needs. The 2020 HD models will feature state-of-the-art trailering technology and the most powerful towing and hauling ever seen on the Silverado.
More Advanced Than Ever
The 2020 Silverado HD is more advanced than ever, and it’s gotten a makeover to match, with rugged styling and modern touches that give it a perfect balance of premium comfort and capable performance. The 2020 HD only has its roof in common with the Silverado 1500—everything else is exclusive to the Silverado HD line.
The 2020 Silverado HD is unique in its offering of five distinct models for totally different kinds of customers, including the recently announced High Country, along with Work Truck, Custom, LT, and LTZ. The High Country trim sports exclusive color combinations and technologies that make the Silverado HD into a luxury car as well as a powerful utility vehicle.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado Engine Technology
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado has been completely redesigned. It will offer bold new styling, more premium features, and next-generation engine technology. This will include advanced V8 gasoline engines including the proven 5.3-liter and the 6.2-liter, both with Dynamic Fuel Management.
Dynamic Fuel Management
“Chevrolet first introduced its Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation system in 2005, and Dynamic Fuel Management is a natural progression of the technology,” said Jordan Lee, Small Block chief engineer. “Dynamic Fuel Management enables only the cylinders needed to deliver the power you want, seamlessly delivering the best balance of power and fuel economy.”
Active Fuel Management allowed an engine to switch between eight- and four-cylinder operation as needed. Dynamic Fuel Management, on the other hand, features 17 cylinder patterns. This helps maximize fuel efficiency and power use.
2018 Silverado Comparison
Compared to a 2018 Silverado with Active Fuel Management, a 2019 Silverado with Dynamic Fuel Management operates fewer than eight cylinders 9% more often.
The 5.3-liter V8 is rated at 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a Hydra-Matic eight-speed automatic transmission. For even more power, the 6.2-liter V8 offers 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission. Both engines also come equipped with driver-selectable stop/start technology.

With the release of the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we are entering a new generation of truck, not just in style, but more importantly, in technology. The 2019 Silverado’s technology will make trailing and hauling easier, safer, and more intuitive, especially with the available Advanced Trailer System.
Advanced Trailer System
The Advanced Trailer System (ATS) will come standard on LTZ and High Country trims and will be optional on the LT, RST, and Trail Boss models. ATS will offer a variety of innovative features. For starters, it has hitch guidance with a hitch view built in to the backup camera. This will make lining up your hitch with the trailer so much easier.
Once you have the hitch lined up, the auto parking brake assist will activate so your Silverado does not roll slightly out of alignment when you put it in park. This turns on automatically while using the hitch view.
Tire Pressure Monitor
Another great feature is the trailer tire pressure monitor. Once some special equipment is installed on your trailer, you will be able to easily check the pressure and temperature of all the tires on your trailer. Just like with your truck, which tells you when the tire pressure is low, your trailer can do the same thing.

The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer marks the return of a midsize crossover that left the market years ago. With a history dating back to 1969, the Chevrolet Blazer makes its way to the automaker’s lineup for the moniker’s 50th anniversary.
Comfort and Convenience
Capable of seating up to five passengers, the Chevrolet Blazer will feature premium comfort features, such as automatic climate control and a heated steering wheel. Sliding rear seats come standard on all models, allowing for easy access throughout the Blazer. Range-topping trim levels will include heated outboard second-row seats.
The Chevrolet Blazer is available with two powerful engine options. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine provides 193 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque. The available 3.6-liter V6 engine produces 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new Chevrolet Blazer will be available with front- and all-wheel drive. Models equipped with the optional V6 engine offer a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 lbs.
The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer features a design that was clearly influenced by the Camaro sports car. A large grille, thin headlights, and tall hood make for an intimidating stare. All models feature HID headlamps and LED Daytime Running Lights. Dual exhaust outlets offer a sporty aesthetic. The top RS and Premier trims include standard 21-inch wheels.
We have a while to wait for the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, so feel free to contact us at H&H Chevrolet to learn more about the crossovers we already have in stock.
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is here to show off its impressive power. While the Silverado has always offered ample power options, the added options this model year make the 2019 Silverado the best one yet.
This 2019 Silverado boasts eight different trim levels for every need, as well as six different engine and transmission combinations. Each different engine focuses on what you prioritize – efficiency, power, or both.
Its all-new setup starts with the advanced 2.7-liter Turbo engine. This new engine will be standard on both the Silverado LT and the new Silverado RST trims. It replaces the previous 4.3-liter V6 engine, and beats it out by producing 22 percent more torque as well as improved efficiency.
Another engine addition to the 2019 Silverado is the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine, which pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission for ultimate on-road performance. It also comes with engine stop/start technology to improve efficiency even further. It will be available in trucks in early 2019.
Updated engines include the 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. The 5.3-liter engine delivers an impressive 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque while the 6.2-liter engine boasts 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. Both have Dynamic Fuel Management, which makes them some of the most advanced V8 engines on the market.
