The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is here to show off its impressive power. While the Silverado has always offered ample power options, the added options this model year make the 2019 Silverado the best one yet.
This 2019 Silverado boasts eight different trim levels for every need, as well as six different engine and transmission combinations. Each different engine focuses on what you prioritize – efficiency, power, or both.
Its all-new setup starts with the advanced 2.7-liter Turbo engine. This new engine will be standard on both the Silverado LT and the new Silverado RST trims. It replaces the previous 4.3-liter V6 engine, and beats it out by producing 22 percent more torque as well as improved efficiency.
Another engine addition to the 2019 Silverado is the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine, which pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission for ultimate on-road performance. It also comes with engine stop/start technology to improve efficiency even further. It will be available in trucks in early 2019.
Updated engines include the 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. The 5.3-liter engine delivers an impressive 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque while the 6.2-liter engine boasts 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. Both have Dynamic Fuel Management, which makes them some of the most advanced V8 engines on the market.

Summer is officially in session and you know what that means – cookouts! When you’re not taking a road trip in your Chevy, head out to the backyard and whip up these delicious dishes.
Curried Pork & Orange Kabobs
If you want to do something a little different, these kabob sticks are unique and fun to eat. They check off the “meat” box with the pork, and add some yellow, red, and orange peppers into the mix for extra flavor.
This chicken is delicious and easy to grille. You pre-make the seasoning (which includes paprika, garlic powder, and ground mustard) and spread it over boiler chicken, then throw it on the grill until it’s done.
Corn with Cilantro-Lime Butter
This dish is perfect for the vegetarians at the barbecue – and it’s delicious for anyone! The butter is created with lime juice and fresh cilantro, then spread liberally over grilled corn-on-the-cob.
Meat and veggies all in one dish! Grilled asparagus is delicious on its own – but add a bacon wrap around it and it’s irresistible. This works by wrapping the bacon around the asparagus prior to grilling it, that way the bacon stays wrapped while it cooks.
Barbecued Beef Brisket
Brisket is a popular Southern dish, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be made in the north! This recipe yields about 2 pounds of beef brisket, and is slathered in brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and horseradish for ultimate flavor.
If you need help finding the perfect ride for transporting these dishes to your next summer party, come see us at H&H Chevrolet.
While crossovers and SUVs are gaining popularity in America, Europe is still obsessed with compact cars. When you look at the benefits of small cars, they have good reason. If you can let go of a need for massive towing power and maximum space, these upsides to small cars might win you over.
If you want to save the most at the gas tank, a small car is the way to go. A 2018 Chevrolet Cruze can offer a whopping 52 mpg highway* with its available turbo-diesel engine. You won’t find that kind of mileage in a crossover or SUV.
Not only can a small car save you money at the gas tank, but it can save you money at the initial purchase as well. Small cars are often the most affordable of a manufacturer’s lineup, making them great choices for young drivers or any shopper on a budget.
Fun to Drive
With modern, peppy engines entering the compact car segment, and small, nimble designs, small cars are generally lots of fun to drive. They can take swift turns and fit into tight parking spaces with ease. If you’ve been used to driving an SUV or even a large car, you may be pleasantly surprised by the difference in feel.

Chevy’s Road Trip Coming To You
Have you dreamed of seeing the entire country by car? Now’s your chance with Chevy’s road trip, designed in conjunction with data scientist Randy Olson. The trip takes you through all 48 contiguous United States (you’ll have to get to Alaska and Hawaii some other time) with an exciting stop in each state, including theme parks, national parks, and famous landmarks.
All Across America
The trip covers 13,389 miles of American roadways and would take roughly 214.56 hours—that’s nine days—of pure driving. But since you will probably want to stop to eat, sleep, and use the rest room (and fill up at the gas station and get some oil changes), the trip will likely take you much longer. In fact, with each of the 48 planned stops and your own detours to see family, friends, and travel destinations you’ve always dreamed of, you should probably plan for at least a month on the road.
Shared Memories With The Family
“Road trips are about creating shared memories and quality time with family and friends,” remarked Steve Majoros, director of marketing, Chevrolet Cars and Crossovers. “And when on the road, travelers can trust Chevrolet vehicles to help get them where they’re going reliably. Chevy is now the only brand to earn J.D. Power Dependability Awards for cars, trucks and SUVs three years in a row.”
Whether you plan to tackle all of Chevy’s road trip or just a portion near us in Pennsylvania, make sure to get your routine maintenance done first at H&H Chevrolet in Shippensburg, PA.
